Camping World Oustanding Support Colton, CA

We own a 2018 Winnebago Intent, and they are well known for their door latch failure, causing a lock-in/lock-out situation. We had this happen on July 4, 2024 in Tehachapi, CA. After several phone calls we found the Colton Camping World service department was open. My family and I made the drive and arrived early enough in the afternoon to get immediate service as a drive-in. The service manager came to the front and escorted us back to the service bays. We were immediately plugged in for power, provided water and plenty of support. They got the door open and then replace the complete door latch. This delay was minimized by the support and professionalism of the service staff at the Colton store. I just want to acknowledge their efforts and humbly thank all those involved in getting me and my family back on the road.

Recommendation: Definitely a store to trust if you have an emergent problem.

Camping World Camping World Raleigh is a disgrace

In the 4 months I have had my camper (2022 Rockwood Freedom) I had several occasions to interact with the staff. Initially I attempted to contact the financing person who handled my purchase only to be ignored, finally after 5 separate calls was I able to speak to someone. (I was looking for the address of the finance company) Secondly on our first trip the a/c quit this repair was refused because technician found it was unplugged inside a cabinet (unbeknownst to me) on the next trip when my grandson (12) climbed on the bed not yet supported underneath a bed rail bent and also the door slide on the ceiling pulled away from the ceiling, both repairs were denied. I have an extended warranty ($1781.00) which is totally useless. Camping World and Good Sam are people to stay away from

Recommendation: Stay away from Camping World

Camping World - Holding my RV Hostage until I pay twice for their fire hazard installation error

I had been told by the Camping World Store on Sep 12, 2022 my RV Inverter/Converter 3000 watt may not be working properly. They could not get one that large but did look it up and told me where I could get one. I picked one up at Home Depot on Sep 21, 2022 in case that was the issue. I took the RV to camping world same day after I had just Bought 4 new.

Camping World Our sales representative at Camping World in Council Bluffs Ia

My husband and I wanted to trade in our camper and purchase another one. Our sales representative, Joe Ingram, at the Council Bluffs Ia store was fantastic! Very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable of the camper we wanted to purchase! We would like to recommend Joe to everyone who is needing to purchase a camper! Camping World We bought our Cougar MBI in January 2020

We bought our Cougar MBI In January 2020. Geno was the Salesman. Everything went really smooth from start to finish. They did the install on my fifth wheel. Jeff the tech in back 1st bay, had everything done by the end of the next day on my Ram truck. I had a warranty concern that we noticed once we had got it home. They had me contact Wendell Helms in the service department and he was in communication with us the whole way through the process. They went through it and found a few more things that needed done that we weren't even aware of. Service with a smile and was professional the whole way through. Thanks Camping World. You have our business. Signed: The Westfall Family.

Camping World Outstanding snd professional service

Jeff Krozel was our salesman at the Las Vegas location. His professionalism was beyond my expectations as he was absolutely incredible throughout the purchase and trade in of our other trailer. He took his time to help us understand the contract and it's contents. He listened to us regarding our wants and needs and found the right rig for us. David with finance did an amazing job as well as Paul Allen the General Manager. An epic shout out to the entire team. Thank you for working with us.This is our second purchase and highly recommend them. There are many false reviews due to competition and I feel they deserve a great review due to their commitment to their customers.

Camping World #1 place to buy an RV and Travel Trailer Camping World of Sacramento

#1 place to buy an RV and Travel Trailer at Camping World of Sacramento. I called in one day and Laura helped me with the perfect trailer. She made me an appointment and introduced me to a sales associate. Everyone there was upbeat. The atmosphere was inviting. The employee's were all cheerful, They answered all my questions because I am new to camping outdoors(I had a lot). I didn't feel like I was pressured in any means. I felt like a family member when everything was done. They have reached out to me to make sure I am doing well with my new trailer and If I ever need anything, they are here to help. What a BLESSING to have such lovely employees. You can tell they love their job and working for camping world in Roseville.

Camping World Customer service

Markus thank you.
My partner and I live in our RV which we bought back in October from camping world. We love it. We call it home.

Unfortunately, the last time we had the propane filled we were unable to get it to flow. We were able to talk to a service tec over the phone. He directed us to make an appointment with customer service to see if it was regulator issue.

Being new to the whole RV experience and living in one full time, the thoughts of a regulator issue was scary. no fridge, hot water, microwave, or ac in the month of May in Atlanta ga. Markus helped with setting us up an appointment, and then went above and beyond to squeeze us in. He was extraordinarily nice, helpful, and reassuring, clear on everything. Thank you camping world for hiring and investing in quality people such as Markus.

Camping World Coorporate stepped up to help

I had an issue with my slider. I did the best i could do to trouble shoot it with taking about almost every avenue i could get it working as I was leaving in a week to head out camping.
After multiple calls, to the dealership, and corporate, two gentlemen went above and beyond their scope of duty to help me out.
Chritopher Chapman, who has nothing to do with service, helped me organize and coordinate my service promptly.
Brian Quinn, who is InCharge of service, I believe of camping world, flew into my region scheduled me to have ethe camper on sight and he spent all day to rectify the problem. These 2 individuals went above and beyond to help me out.
It took a little presentence from me with corporate but when these 2 found out about the situation they made a bad situation turn out great.
Thank you to both of them for reaching out to me and staying on top of the issue until it was resolved.

Camping World We needed an emergency repair, and they took care of us in a totally reasonable time

Our running lights weren't working on our 2014 Coachmen Apex camper. Being only a mile from our overnight stop near Madison, WI, we decided to see what Camping World could do to help us. They diagnosed and replaced our power cord, fixing the problem in a reasonable time, esp. Since we were just drop-ins with no appointment. While we waited, we got to shop in their awesome new addition, Gander Outfitters. Derek Hanson was our service advisor who kept us updated of the progress--totally appreciated. And the service mgr Justin Kaatz, was also quick with advice and encouragement. For our first time in Wisconsin AND visiting an actual store front, we were really impressed. Though we've bought from Camping World online, meeting actual employees and witnessing how they worked was a completely great experience. Thanks, guys!
Gail and Fred from CT
PS We even toured campers and dreamed about how to upgrade!

Camping World Best place and best salesman to buy an RV

We had a choice of a lot of RV places to choose from and I started checking places online. The salesman Zack Lee contacted me within a few minutes. He asked what I was looking for and showed me 3 Rv's immediately. We corresponded through text messages until my husband and I were able to go see the campers in person. Zack was so helpful, explained things thoroughly, had so much patience allowing us to go from RV to RV comparing things we liked about the various campers. I got sick with the flu, then walking pneumonia and he sent texts almost everyday checking on me to see how I felt. Once we were able to get back over to the store he showed us back around as campers had come and gone. He worked with us every step of the way until we finalized our purchase today. He showed us how EVERYTHING worked in each camper. There is no way that any other salesman could have been any more attentive or knowledgeable than Zack. I will say everyone at Camping World was nice and friendly and always offering to help. While Zack showed us each camper he explained what things were, where things were, how various things worked, what came with the campers and what didn't come with them. We enjoyed our buying experience at Camping World because of Zack Lee.

Camping World Very enjoyable experience working with Camping World compared to others we visited

My wife and I had a great experience working with Camping World in the search for a new RV. We had one of the most knowledgeable salesman (RON) that was a great listener with all of our needs and desires in our search for the perfect RV that we searched for throughout the Portland area. He gave us recommendations from his many years of experience which helped greatly. He knew our budget and kept us within our price range and helped in showing us the most for our dollar. I can say one thing, we had some sales representatives from other lots that showed us that we knew as much about the models we were looking at than they did. Example at other lot., I asked, How many AC's does this unit have and the salesman literally had to walk several hundred feet away and look up to tell us. Ron on the other hand had all the answers while sitting comfortably together within one of the most beautiful models we were looking at purchasing. I have seen some reviews that were not as highly rated as ours, but I can say one thing for sure, this particular Camping World has some of the nicest and easy to work with representatives in the industry. We wish to Thank everyone who made our time at Camping World a very comfortable and enjoyable experience with no pressure whatsoever. Thank You Camping World and especially Ron for the awesome experience. A+ recommendation!

Camping World Excellent service at Camping World - Saltlake city UT

I had excellent service at the Camping World Salt Lake City Utah!
I've had a series of problems since I started with this RV a 2019 Thor 30.3 rv since my purchase in February 2022 at Camping World, Gulfbreeze, FL. One of the many problems was the Furnace would not stay lit. The past three nights where I camped, the temp was 32*.
I went to the Camping World Service Center, Salt Lake City, Utah morning of 4-May-22 and told them of the all problems I've had with this unit, especially the Furnace, That I had emailed a list of my complaints to the Company CO Marcus Secretary of all the problems I have had with my RV,
The service manager Corry, at Salt Lake City (I guess) took sympathy on me!
They arranged for me to bring my RV in
The next morning at 9 o'clock and have successfully repaired my heater!
Salt Lake City Camping World has made me a very Happy Camper!

I greatly appreciate the service of Tina one of the receptionist, Jacquie Marcos the service advisor and of course Corry, the service manager and the technician that quickly found the problem with my Furnace! The problem was only a Bad Wire connection from the thermostat to the heater!
The heater works great now!
I greatly appreciate the special service they showed me with very friendly and professional attitude from all the Staff at Camping World, SaltLake City Utah!
I now very highly recommend Camping World, especially At SaltLake City, Utah

Camping World 8th year using this service, but never again

When this business was RV World of Georgia, our camper experienced great service, competent repairs, and reasonable prices for our annual winter checkup. The business became Gander, but kept the same personnel and policies, so we still got great service. This year, our 8th year for an annual checkup, the company is now Camping World. We brought it in, requesting a check of roof, slide, and systems.

In the end, it took 4 trips and 4 weeks to get the camper back, with very little communication from the service manager. In this time, they broke our front power jack, and replaced it with one off the shelf, which our service manager said they keep in stock because it happens so often. The replacement jack is of poorer quality than the one we put on ourselves. We asked how this happened, and were told they dropped the camper off the ball, which “happens all the time.” In 8 years of camping in our trailer and having repairs done, we have never seen a camper dropped off the ball.

Inspection found that new slide edging was needed. Extra screws were put in on the bottom, even though that was not in the repair instructions. This scratched the floor; the service manager implied that it might have been our fault the floor was scratched. When the repair person admitted extra screws were used, Camping World removed the screws and repaired the floor at their own cost.

On trip #3 to pick up the camper, requested caulking had not been completed, but they charged us for it. On trip #4, when we finally got the camper home, we noticed that our custom epoxy-top table was cracked in two places. It is hard to crack epoxy, we have no idea how they managed that, and they didn’t tell us about it. The back door no longer closes properly, and the water tank is leaking, both of which were fine before service.

The one thing done right was the roof; it is clean and well-sealed. In short, more things are wrong with the camper than before we brought it to Camping World, and after 8 years they have lost our business.

Recommendation: Do not use Camping World of Buford for your service.

Camping World Run! The worst experience

This is going to be a long post but necessary to prevent others from similar experiences with Camping World. Our experience has been with Camping World/Rv's.com in Sherwood and the corporate offices. Our contact with corporate has been Karla.

`1. Do not purchase-we experienced so much deceit with no effort to make it right.

2. Check their Better Business Bureau Rating and reviews online. There are facebook groups with horror stories you can join.

3. We were deceived in purchasing a warranty. They only presented 4 options which did not include a "no warranty" option. They finally reimbursed us after multiple attempts to call, drop in, and email. They sent us the wrong form at least 2 times.

4. They lied and said the bank required 3k down. We called the bank today. They denied this and said it was not a part of the deal. They were appalled and basically said we should push the dealership because that was wrong

5. We called the DMV today after we were told that we had to finance the sales tax due to COVID policies-sounds nuts now but we believed it. The DMV was wondering what business and said they did not have this policy and did not require that

6. They split my husband and I up during the process stating they had to hurry because they were closing and corporate no longer allowed them to stay past 7. They refuse to show us this policy in writing.

7. They required us to purchase Good Sam insurance and hovered over my husband while he had them on the phone. This was the night before we got the RV so we could have purchased through someone else

8. We were told when we asked about other financing options we received in the mail that they weren't disclosed to us because they required 3k more down and 3% higher. We asked for this documentation which they refused to give. They said they are not obligated to give us this information.

9. Again there are some discrepancies on the purchase receipt with discounts and MSPR.

10. We called corporate to speak to someone other than the dealership and Karla. Lupe said I could only talk to them. She tried to transfer me to the dealership during open hours. They did not answer. She would not put in writing that I could only talk to those two people.

11. At one point they offered to meet with the dealership and someone in corporate. We said we wanted everything in writing for transparency among both parties. Karla never responded. The lack of transparency and documentation provided is so concerning.

We have a lawyer on retainer who is taking action for us. We have asked 3 other lawyers who agree they committed fraud, coercion, and bad faith practices. The attorney general even recommended with seek an attorney.

They took advantage of our ignorance on the issues. We hope to come to a resolution. Any advice? Please spread the word! This has been horrific. Everyone we have talked to (DMV, bank, BBB, and Attorney General, lawyers) are appalled and have taken notes about it.

We are determined this does not happen to anyone else.

Recommendation: Do not purchase-they lie and commit fraudulent practices-check Better Business Bureau ratings. They delete google reviews (pay for it). Check facebook pages with other complaints as well

How responsive is Camping World's customer service?

23 Resolved 561 Unresolved

Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Camping World handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Camping World and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Camping World Service on my rv

Im not happy. I have had my RV serviced at the Chattanooga location only since buying it. I will list the issues I've had with the service department with the most egregious first that I found. My issues are with the actual work done and when I made a complaint in the past the service manager was most rude. And corporate never followed up on my complaint.

Camping World Service

I took coach to CW Silverdale for 16' awning evaluation($125) since it would not close electronically and was told that awning parts not avail. and we would need to purchase new awning($3000). We took to Tacoma CW and after they installed new we were told that new awning would not close either. service manager James told us that there is a box that he fiddled with to get awning to work. We tried to get our money and old awning back but they refused to even return calls. Extremely poor service. James told me he would call me within the hour but 4 days later we just drove to Tacoma and picked up our coach. James said it was a phone system problem. Really? They removed the aluminum protective cover and refuse to reinstall

Desired outcome: Return money, install protective cover removed

Camping World Stay away from camping world!

My letter to the owner. His reply to bad. Im doing nothing.

To Marcus Lemonis,
I am compelled to write this letter, hopeful to get a response and resolution.
Please be patient as i explain and write a longer story than you'd like. I am Jonathan Mark Hatch and I live in Scarborough, Maine. I am an automotive shop owner and tech for more than 40 years. I am also a commercial pilot 27 plus years. I am happily married with 4 boys. My family camps a lot! My wife and I were in Conway NH. For a weekend in January enjoying a getaway and we stopped in and were met by Destin. A kind salesman and as he should be. willing to hear our needs and wants. He began searching for the right motorhome for us. After several weeks and countless units that he had emailed us, we found a motorhome all of us agreed was "The One". It was a unit that was only a few years old and not enough mileage to have had its first oil change. We put a good faith deposit and got your company to hire a trucking company to reposition it to the Conway store. Please keep in mind that this was at another Camping World dealership and was listed and claimed ready to sell. The motorhome home was delivered to the Conway dealership. We as a family were excited to see it! Knowing it wasn't serviced, multipoint inspection, completely gone thru, cleaned and ready for us to take ownership by your Conway store, we still wanted to see it. The family loved it. That was pretty much the end of the fantasy experience. The motorhome supposedly went into your shop. The financing gentleman Rick was rude, nasty and condescending. I was ready to walk away, but Greta called to save the sale and apologize. We pressed on and met on the delivery date a couple weeks later. The camper wasn't ready! We did the so called lead tech tour and instructional time of the motorhome. Mind you, remember not only am I a tech but my shop repairs campers and motorhomes. I said nothing of my knowledge and let the tech do the tour. Bluntly, he was lost! One thing after another I pointed out things that were broken or didn't work. I asked to start the generator and his reply, "oh we can't the camper is outta gas". so the motorhome got delivered from ohio on fumes? Generator serviced but you didn't find it necessary to actually run it and check its operation? The water filter base was broken off and sitting on the compartment floor. The list i will give later if you'd like on what was wrong, what didnt get fixed, and what I had to fix. The family was asked to go have lunch as supposedly the issues were being addressed. After we returned we found out that nothing was done. Excuses were made and parts were promised to be ordered. Later I found out nothing was ordered. Paperwork was already signed and now my family in debt on the second biggest purchase of our life. But we are good right!? We bought a practically new camper from a nationwide dealership that was just serviced and a stamp of perfection by professionals on the family camper, with promises galore! Good Sam, extended service, discount fuel, cheap camping! Yeaaaa! Drove home and parked it. Yup the onion has many layers. In two days we had realized that the batteries were dead in 24 hours, doors damaged, generator didn't run, electric mirrors didn't work, battery controller issues, drivers window leak, radio defective, water filter still broken, camper dirty, etc. Needless to say I was upset and said the motorhome is coming back to get this stuff fixed! The next day after boosting it i drove the 60 miles to return it the your dealership. Yes the Company Ipad came out and pics of every corner were taken and the failed systems were promised to be repaired. We drove home leaving the motorhome expecting it to be priority and do everything to get it back to us asap. But nope I was sadly mistaken. A month, maybe a month and a half to repair it! What? Are you serious? You delivered a motorhome claiming its 100% ready and two days after you say 6 weeks to repair it? I think not! You had the motorhome a month. I made my first payment while my camper sat on your lot. This is insane! Yes I hound! Yes I'm mad! Rightfully so! The camper was claimed to be repaired minus the doors.(claimed to be ordered the day it was delivered to Conway). We went to pick up the "repaired" motorhome. I was ignored for 30 minutes at the service desk. I walked to the salesman to get the cold shoulder and sent back to service. Yes I'm fuming. No list, no invoice, no explanation, no apologies. Nothing! I insisted the service contract be eliminated and be issued a refund. Do you blame me? Why should I pay $6500 for future service when you can't even fix basic problems. Why should I spend $6500 when you sell me a motorhome with obvious issues. Why should I trust your service dept? I signed the voided extended service plan and asked how this affected the loan. Nope no rewrite just a payment to the loan was the promise. At this point I just couldn't wait to get out of the building never to return. We jumped in the motorhome to drive it home after being told it was all set and ready to go. Ha! Let's see. The fridge wasn't secured and fell out of its slot! My 13 year old son scrambled to push it back in place til I could safely pull over. We finished the 60 mile drive home. As I began to check over the claimed repairs done and see if it was thoroughly cleaned, I found it was not. The engine cover and dash were all misaligned and twisted. The shop replaced the wrong radio and the failed radio was still defective. The fridge stunt destroyed the base and brackets that supposedly secure it in place. I ordered a new radio and a couple days later began the installation, only to find when your shop replaced the right mirror they completely hacked the wire harness, behind the dash, securing it to the heater hoses. The hoses are not capable of holding the wire harness and the weight tore it apart. I repaired all the wiring and hoses and attached it as it should be installed. I replaced the radio only to find the speakers were blown as well, so i replaced those too. The engine and dash were reinstalled properly. The camper smelled and I couldn't figure it out so we cleaned the inside and found the smell! A dirty diaper under the master bed! Yup Camping World didn't try too hard to clean and recon it. The rear camera was bad, it was full of water. I replaced that. Both back up lights failed. I replaced both units. I found scratches and chips all of which weren't there before the final visit. Do you think the story is done? Noooo. We went on our first camping trip. Just the weekend. Two nights! My middle son took the first shower in the front bath. In one minute water was running down the outside of the motorhome! I didn't want to ruin the weekend. I said the boys needed to use the camp ground showers. Later in the morning I decided to shower in my shower. Guess what happened? Yup the water was running under the bed in a minute. No more showers for the weekend! Am I done? Nope the awning didn't work! So after I returned home. I diagnosed the two shower leaks. Both shower faucets were split from being frozen. Im guessing Camping World failed at winterizing the plumbing. I replaced both shower faucets, hose and head units. The awning? Yes I repaired it. As far as my refund on the maintenance program? Its been 4 months and to many calls to see the refund on my loan. Why is all this so difficult to address?
Get the failures of camping world on multiple levels?
Camping World owes me. Reimbursement for: a radio, 2 speakers, two shower faucets, back up lights, rear camera. Labor to repair all these items plus the fridge, install the doors, the awning and a proper motorhome cleaning. Camping world owes me a refund for lying and over charging me for a motorhome that wasn't fit nor ready to sell. Camping world owes me interest i payed on the $6500 over four months.
So here i am 5 months after buying this thing. I think its finally ready to be used with everything working.
The ball is in your court to make this right. Your company needs to regroup how you sell, service and take care of customers. Without customers you fail. Im not looking for hollow Im sorry letter and a 2% discount on my next purchase. Don't patronize me. I assume you probably couldn't care less. Im only one customer. Yes Im only one. This is your business and your business failed miserably so far with my family. Make this right!
Sincerely

Camping World Camper World Steps on Our Big Dreams

I'd really don't even know where to start. I can't help but feel like I should qualify by telling a little bit about me and my girlfriend. I say this because we are not complaining type. We have purchased and sold homes and many other pieces of recreational equipment. We have outstanding reputations in the professional community as well as with our friends and our local community. We are two middle-class hard-working people that saved for years to purchase our dream, which was a fifth wheel camper that we could eventually live in full-time. We purchased a 2020 raptor from camper world in August. The first camper we purchased had a massive line cut through the paint on the front of it when we went to review it on the camper world walk through.
So, they swapped it out with another identical raptor fifth wheel that was sitting on the lot. So we went back a week later to pick this one up. During the walk-through we found several issues, mostly cosmetic on both the interior and exterior. We also noticed that there was no heat coming out of the rear vent in the toy hauler area, the chair that raises up and down made a very loud noise in the chain system, and that there was no electricity to the entire front end of the camper. We were told that these are common issues and that they would be addressed quickly. After leaving the camper there for several weeks we went back to pick it up. They allowed us to camp in their complementary site next-door to make sure everything was working. As soon as we set it up that Friday evening there was still no power in the nose, still no heat coming out of the duct in the toy hauler and still a loud popping noise. At this point we also had an infestation of ants. We were told that ants are not their problem however the salesman tried very hard to fix it by putting his own bug bombs in the camper when we brought it back there that Sunday. Here we were waiting again for them to fix the electrical issue. While we had it in there we also decided to have a roof Wi-Fi antenna installed. I stopped in later that week to check on how things are going. I noticed that the circuit board was pulled down and there were wires hanging out everywhere from the placement of the circuitboard all the way to the back bedroom and every fixture in the bedroom. I took pictures and supported the cause by sending them into Keystone as well as forwarding them to the dealership. Keystone determined that the camper had been wired incorrectly and gave instructions for the dealership to fix it. So after another couple weeks we finally got the camper and they let us set up again and there lot next-door. This time the electric was working but they had miss-wired the Wi-Fi switch to a light switch. The heat still did not work in the rear of the hauler and the chain popping was still there. At this point had been a couple months since our purchase and we already were approaching our first scheduled trip. We were told we could take the camper and that they would address any other issues when we returned. On our first trip and on the very first night we also realized that the skylight in the bathroom was leaking, the side doors would continuously fly open because the latches were loose, and of all things the landing gear which was a highly recommended hydraulic landing system also was defective. We had to cancel our camping reservations at the first sight in Syracuse New York and instead bring it to the dealership there. Out of our pocket we paid for hotels while the dealership tried to examine the issues. They found that the skylight was leaking and they told us at that point that the motherboard that controls the hydraulic system was defective. They told us it would take weeks or months to get the parts and that we should just move on and try to get this fixed when we return home. So we went to our next stop in Lake George where we had a long weekend schedule before going home. When we went to leave Lake George, we hooked everything up and when we went to pull away we noticed that the right front landing gear would drop down halfway. We tried to call the very expensive road care service we purchased through camper World and were told that we would have to pay for everything out of pocket and then submit the claim to warranty. This was just maddening at this point after all the issues that we have already had after owning the camper for several months not being able to use it and still a pile of problems that we're not being addressed. Now we were supposed to pay to have it fixed on the road for hundreds of dollars?! We talked with the mechanic at the home shop we had purchased it at and they walked me through using my tools and how to temporarily fix the landing gear so we could get home. When we returned home we brought the camper to another camper world location that was closer to our house. At this location service advisor and the staff in general seem to be more focused than the first dealership we purchased from. They seem to have a little more empathy in their professional approach than the location we had purchased it from. Honestly we shouldn't have to beg for a good Customer service on purchasing anything let alone a $90,000 fifth wheel camper. However, believe me we had been made out to be the bad guy since day one and our complaints were met with frustration on the other side and a general theory that this is just what happens to campers and an "oh well" attitude. I shouldn't say that for everyone, as there are some good hard-working people that we met in the shop in other areas of camper world throughout this. However, management clearly protects the big corporate machine and their profitable interest by keeping issues like the ones we had at bay. As long as they can try to address it under warranty they will. The timeline in which the customer has to endure the agony of spending their life savings on a dream that was quick quickly diminished by poor craftsmanship and horrible customer service is the farthest thing from their concern. So having more confidence in the new camper world dealership we went over a list of 29 items and left it there in early November. They were to fix the hydraulic system, the skylight, the broken heating issue, several wood pops and other cosmetic issues, the faulty chain on the seat in the rear toy hauler area, and a few other things. When we went to finally pick the camper up in early March 2021 for our second trip which was my son?s high school graduation trip to Florida that we had been planning for a long time, we found that absolutely nothing had been addressed on the camper and every single issue still remains. Wait, they did correctly re-wire the WIFi. Having no choice, we pulled out on a 10 day trip to Florida hoping that we could get through the trip as camper world instructed us to do. During the trip it did drop cold at night where there was no heat in the rear, the landing gear once again was stuck halfway down, and every time we raise the bed at night we had to listen to the loud popping sound of the misaligned a chain system. The landing gear would re-settle throughout every night waking us up constantly and eventually dropped back down halfway when all hooked up. I called both Keystone and camper world. I called the number that Marcus Lemonis sends to our home on a regular basis saying how open he used to hearing your feedback. There is no chance you were going to get Marcus Lemonis on the phone. He probably isn't even in the same country as the office that is answering these inbound calls. These people are very seasoned at playing the nice game but really giving you no results or solutions. Keystone does not take much more responsibility other than the fact that they are willing to give a out of service payout once the RV has finally returned to service. This of course will not compensate for at least 10 days of completely missed work being stuck at the dealership or stuck on the road with breakdowns, the frustration and agony that that has put us through on most every holiday or weekend since then worried that we have sunk our savings into an albatross that cannot be fixed. The cancelled trips, the long phone calls and the letters begging for a buy back or for some one to at least recognize the absurdity the campers issues. The last person that I spoke with a camper world corporate simply said we're sorry but these issues are cosmetic and we are just not going to do a buyback. We will fix them under warranty as quickly as we can. Well, we went back two days ago just before Easter Sunday here 2021. Seven months after we purchased the camper to find out that still absolutely nothing had been done to the camper. Not even the wood pops, the shades that were hung crooked, the molding that is now popping off slide outs, let alone the more serious issues like the landing gear, no heat to the rear,
The chain system or anything else. No one could really tell us why they just keep being extremely cordial and asking us to be patient while they address these issues. I don't think they think about how hard this is on people that really put everything they had into their dream and yet nothing but problems in return and leaving us with no sure idea that this will ever be fixed. Instead we are scared to death to even travel in this camper not knowing how compromised the electrical system is from those issues, if they will really fix the landing gear without that front leg dropping down while driving, or if the way they have to reroute the heating system because they hung the gray water tank in the wrong place at the manufacture can be addressed. What is crazy, as the camper also had a considerable amount of rust on the frame on the walk-through which we clearly pointed out. We have been told since then that it is not the responsibility of the manufacture because the dealership should've checked it and of course the dealership says that's not their responsibility because they must've built it in on a rusty frame. Again no accountability whatsoever for the big corporate giant and Marcus Lemonis is an adequate group of cronies. I will tell you that I am sad to even say that because at one time I watch the shows and admired his approach as I am also a CEO of a smaller company. My employees would never take this approach with our customers. It is really one of the very clear but sad examples of corporate giants stepping on smaller peoples big dreams. I hope this review helps in your next purchase. Please understand that our complaint is not necessarily about the people. The front line folks at work camper world are much like the rest of us. Working hard, paycheck to paycheck, getting it done and working under circumstances with incredible demand, not enough supply and the brunt of it falling on the shoulders of the front line. In my opinion it is the product that is an issue, and the leader ship behind the product that has systems in place that prevent it's customers from the satisfaction that they should be receiving.
